LG Display is unveiling its latest automotive display technologies at SID Display Week 2025 in San Jose, California. Under the theme of "Driving the Future," the company plans to showcase a range of next-generation in-car solutions and experiences. The highlight will be the stretchable display, a flexible panel that can be stretched up to 50 percent without compromising resolution or color, fusing touch and display capabilities on a single surface, the company said.
They improved the stretchability and flexibility of the panel by applying a number of new technologies, such as improving the performance of special silicon material substrates used in contact lenses and developing new wiring design structures, exceeding the project's original elongation target of 20%.
